ALL METAL MODE:
By pressing the "All Metal" touch pad, the unit will then respond to all types of metal without any discrimination. The detector will not require motion to detect a target in this mode of operation. Ground Balance is automatic and can be frequently updated by pressing the "Ground Trac" touch pad.

DISC:
After pressing this touch pad, the detector will automatically reject iron and can then be adjusted by the DISC/NOTCH control for increased discrimination. By turning the DISC/NOTCH control clockwise the detector will eliminate most trash items such as foil and aluminum while still detecting silver and copper, depending on how high it is set. When the DISC/NOTCH control is placed fully counterclockwise (Low), the detector will pick up all nickels and gold rings along with pull tabs and copper/silver coins, but still reject iron.

The Target ID will "lock" onto a target and hold a reading until another target is detected. The Target Mode indicator will have one arrow pointing to the mode of operation being used. Until another mode of operation is chosen, the arrow remains allowing a constant visual reference of what mode of operation is being used.
The Low Battery indicator will come on and stay on when batteries are low.

8" SEARCHCOIL: The Sharp Shooter II comes standard with the 8" Close-Face Coil System. A versatile and deep-seeking coil that can be used effectively for all types of detecting. This coil may be submersed in water without any affect on the operation of the detector allowing for gold prospecting and shallow water hunting.
S-ROD HANDLE SYSTEM: The Sharp Shooter II comes standard with an S-Rod Handle System, an anodized black aluminum upper and lower stem that telescopically adjusts for most any height. @includes an S-Rod Stand for the convenience of placing the unit on the ground for hands-free digging. The forearm cup increases comfort while allowing for more control when swinging the searchcoil.
HEADPHONE READY: Stereo-type headphones can be used with the Quarter-Inch Jack conveniently located on the control panel. Use of headphones increases battery life and capability to hear faint indistinct tones.
AUTOMATIC GROUND BALANCING: Automatic Ground Trac feature allows operation in virtually any Mineralization of ground with full power. Use it effectively on the beach or for gold prospecting. In the ALL METAL Mode, the Sharp Shooter II will detect gold nuggets thru black sand! Finds relics in all types of soil, deeply and with ease.

Audio Target Identification

The 3-Tone Audio Discrimination categorizes metal targets under 3 audio output possibilities.

When operating in the DISC MODE, detected targets will have three distinct tone categories for helpful identification of the detected item. With some practice, it is easy to be able to determine most of the time what type of metal is being detected just by the tones being emitted by the Sharp Shooter II.
